Job DescriptionJob DescriptionJob Title: MECHANICAL TECHNICIANReports to: ENGINEERING TEAM LEADERJob Summary: This role will be primarily responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing Production equipment. The technician will develop and implement the maintenance programs necessary to ensure the short-term and long-term reliability of all equipment, as well as lead the effort to optimize maintenance costs, maximize equipment availability and reduce unsafe conditions.Job Responsibilities:· Reading CAD drawings to determine the placement of equipment· Install or assist in the installation of new equipment, including proper layout and alignment.· Inspect, troubleshoot, repair and/or replace mechanical components such as motors, reducers, drive chains, hydraulic and/or pneumatic components in manufacturing equipment.· Perform basic welding duties, fabricating fixtures, jigs, guarding, etc. as needed.· Comply with company and customer regulations and policies.· Maintain parts inventory.
Qualifications And Experience:· 3+ year’s prior Mechanical experience.· Minimum High school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED).· Candidate MUST be a self-motivated and detail-oriented person with high drive to be able to adapt to changing situations daily.· Must be experienced in welding and fabrication techniques.· Basic understanding of single or three phase electrical.· Excellent written and oral communication skills; strong interpersonal, and planning.· Organizational skills a must.
