Alecto Recruitment is keen to hear from experienced Mechanical Technicians based in the Hampshire area who would be interested in a position in the power sector based on the Isle of Wight.

Working as part of a maintenance team you will carry out mechanical maintenance duties across all machinery and apparatus in all areas of the plant.

We are looking for an Engineering background from either the energy from waste, petrochemical or power sectors.

In this position you will work 12-hour shifts on either days or nights on a rotating basis:

06:00 - 18:00

10:00 - 22:00

18:00 - 06:00

Ideally you will be based on the island or within commutable distance however our client is able to offer relocation assistance for those interested in moving to the island if based further afield.

Duties

Help to maintain standards as set out in the KPI's.

Communicate problems and concerns promptly through line management or the CMMS ensuring quick resolution.

Ensure the health, safety and security of staff, customers, premises and equipment by encouraging and monitoring best practices always.

Comply with all Health and Safety Legislation.

Ensure all legislative requirements are adhered to.

Always undertake role in a professional and safe manner.

Carry out team briefings and toolbox talks.
