Mechanical Test Engineer

Thorn Baker Industrial are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Test Engineer for one of our prestigious clients in Nottingham.



This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with mechanical/inspection background, who`s looking for work in engineering.



Our client is looking for a talented individual to join their friendly team.



Starting Salary: £32k/annum



Day Shift Monday to Friday 8am - 4:30pm (early finish on Friday)



Nottingham based (easy access via public transport)



Immediate start!



Mechanical Test Engineer Job Details:



- testing mechanical products and sub-assemblies following instructions by senior engineers



- logging test data



- quality checks & fault finding to component level



- use internal system to improve testing methods & product information



- product inspection to design specification



- assisting with repairs & returns



- keeping records up to date within the internal system (DART)



- ad/hoc testing/calibrating of simple electrical parts/units (PCB, load cells, etc.)



Mechanical Test Engineer Requirements:



- Relevant experience in mechanical inspection/testing



- Ability to read & understand technical drawings



- Excellent attention to detail, ability to diagnose faults



- Positive approach towards work , ability to think outside the box



- HNC in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience (desirable)



- Experience in fitting, assembly, or prototype building (desirable)



- Equipment calibration experience (desirable)



- F-Gas Certification (desirable)



- ISO Quality background knowledge (desirable)



- Basic wire checking skills (desirable)



- Team Player / Adaptable / Good work ethic



- Enthusiasm / Ambition / Eagerness to learn



Mechanical Test Engineer Benefits:
