Mechanical Test Engineer

Seeking to hire a Mechanical Test Engineer for a one-year contract opportunity based in Golden Valley, MN. This position offers the chance to work on innovative projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to the development of cutting-edge electro-mechanical products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Gain an in-depth understanding of the following electro-mechanical products:

  • Aquastat
  • Limit Control
  • Safety Switch

• Identify and track components (machined/turned and molded) being transitioned to new suppliers.

• Address supplier inquiries regarding unclear print specifications.

• Initiate Engineering Change Requests (ECR) for print updates when necessary.

• Collaborate with Product Quality Assurance (PQA) engineers to determine required product-level testing for qualification with new supplier parts.

• Develop and approve test plans, in conjunction with PQA engineers, for test technicians to follow.

• Design specialized test fixtures as needed.

• Assist technicians in troubleshooting testing issues.

• Review and analyze test data, presenting results in clear formats (graphs, tables).

• Draw conclusions from data to assess product compliance with test criteria.

• Approve final test reports alongside PQA engineers.

• Schedule: Hybrid schedule-Monday & Friday remote and the other three days in office
• Location: Golden Valley, MN
• Duration: 1 Year

Requirements :

• Mechanical Engineering degree
• Knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes
• Ability to understand mechanical drawings and specifications
• Knowledge of electro-mechanical devices
• Experience with product testing and qualification
• Good technical writing skills
• MS Office, Acrobat Professional proficiency
