An excellent opportunity for a Field Service Engineer or ex HM Forces Engineer (RAF, Navy or REME), with a background in electrical-mechanical or electronic high value equipment, to join a market-leading manufacturer of surgical microscopy and ophthalmic devices, with a company offering full and comprehensive product training and very good onwards career progression. 



Overall Earnings £48K - £51K (Including bonus)

Basic Salary £42,000 to £45,000

The Role - Medical Field Service Engineer, Surgical and Ophthalmic Instrumentation



You will be responsible for the service, breakdown repair and maintenance of their range of highly advanced Surgical Microscopes and Ophthalmic Instrumentation, located at hospitals and healthcare centres throughout the South East.



Your Background - Medical Field Service Engineer, Surgical and Ophthalmic Instrumentation



To apply you should be able to demonstrate the following:



Experience in maintaining, installing and repairing high-value capital equipment, either electro-mechanical or electronic. Laser experience would be beneficial but not necessary, as full product training will be provided

Applications welcome from Service Engineers with a HM Forces background, RAF, Navy or REME, or from the medical, laboratory, print press, packaging, industrial, scientific or airport security based X-ray or Imaging equipment, or any other industrial or commercial high value capital equipment background

Qualification in electronics, engineering, electrical or another relevant technical discipline

Impeccable customer service skills and a confident and professional manner in customer facing environments

Flexible approach with the determination to seize opportunities and resolve complex challenges

Full UK driving licence
