Medical Helpline is part of the 90 Degree Benefits family of companies and is searching for an operations manager. As background, Medical Helpline supports third party administrators of health insurance plans by providing case management and utilization review services. This position offers excellent opportunity to grow in a dynamic business. We are in Katy, Texas just off Highway 99 and Westpark Tollway
Essential Functions and Responsibilities Include (but not limited to):
Staffing:
· Determining appropriate staffing needs
· Hiring and training all non-clinical staff
· Working with Clinical Officer in hiring all clinical staff
· Working with Clinical Officer in creation of training manual for all staff
· Managing PTO, scheduling, coverage, timecards, and payroll
Operations
· Measuring employee productivity by analyzing employee performance data (billable hours, call volume, etc.)
· Managing system and communication needs of all staff, whether in Houston, other 90DB locations, or remote
· Overseeing integration of Deerwalk analytics data into core services and reporting
· Overseeing integration with customer service and advocacy
Business Development/Account Management
· Supporting TPA sales in promoting Care Connect to brokers/clients/potential clients
· Working with Ocozzio in the creation of marketing materials
· Responding to RFPs
· Overseeing implementation of new 90DB TPAs and clients
Compliance
· Preparing and updating all operational policies
· Obtaining and maintaining all licensing
· Obtaining URAC or NCQA accreditation
Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience in medical terminology, benefits/health insurance, case management, utilization review, or healthcare are desired.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with MS Office applications.
- Ability to process information accurately and promptly, with excellent attention to detail.
- Experience in a customer/client service environment.
