MEP Engineering Intern

Through our Developing Professionals Network, interns gain mentorship, networking opportunities and lifelong career connections.WSP is currently initiating a search for an MEP Engineering Intern for our Chicago, IL office for Summer 2023 with the option to continue during the school year.Your ImpactSupport a variety of engineering tasks with the goal to develop technical, social, and ethical skillsFunction as part of the design team and utilize engineering designLearn basic principles of electrical system design and become familiar with RevitPerform basic calculationsAssist in analyzing dataPerform basic engineering design and production and construction administration servicesProvide assistance in engineering or/and other technical areasWho You AreRequired QualificationsCurrent standing as a Rising Junior, Senior or Graduate student actively enrolled in an accredited Arch, Mechanical, or Fire Protection Engineering Undergraduate or Graduate programExperience with basic computer software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, OutlookSelf-motivated with strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skillsDetail-oriented with an emphasis on quality work productsKnowledge of AutoCAD and producing technical drawingsExercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and proceduresProven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policiesPreferred QualificationsLocal candidates preferred.
