Employment: Freelance (outside IR35)

Day Rate: up to £500p/day

Duration: 4years+

1st Step Solutions Ltd are working on behalf of a M&E Building Services Contractor who are ideally looking for
\n
an experienced Planner with MEP/Building Services experience or potentially main contract build background.
You will be planning the allocation of high value/complex work on one of the largest major projects in the South West.
\n
Producing workable realistic and efficient programmes of work which meet an appropriate standard for the contract
\n
conditions and both internal and client requirements.
\n
\n
Plans will be implemented with the best-practice approach utilising Critical Path Analysis, Resource Planning, Cost
\n
Management and Progress/Productivity Monitoring and Control.
Responsibilities
\n
◦ Demonstrate appropriate health and safety leadership to ensure the safety first and foremost message is visible and
\n
alive throughout all activities.
\n
◦ Ensure that all planning related activities are carried out in compliance with contractual obligations, internal processes
\n
and external legislation governing business operations.
\n
◦ Arrange and facilitate integrated planning meetings, engaging with all relevant stakeholders to develop and agree the
\n
plan
\n
◦ Participate within bid activities as required
\n
◦ Work closely with relevant project personnel and external customer in order to produce/ agree a contract baseline
\n
programme for each allocated project
\n
◦ Maintain and update contract baseline in line with any agreed contract changes, ensuring changes are communicated
\n
to all stakeholders
\n
◦ Ensure that progress and productivity is effectively monitored against project plan, produce clear reports for all
\n
stakeholders
\n
◦ Ensure that planning outputs/reports are produced for contract reviews. Support the operational teams in order to
\n
ascertain whether project targets are being achieved and jointly establish and agree any corrective measures where
\n
necessary.
\n
◦ Perform time/risk analysis against programmes at regular intervals with the planning manager/senior planner, and the
\n
project manager.
\n
To be successful in this role you will have:
\n
◦ Considerable experience in a planning role on medium to large construction projects. For senior planner level, we would be looking for someone with experience of MEP / Building Services projects.
\n
◦ Construction site experience
\n
◦ Primavera/Asta Powerproject
\n
◦ A relevant industry or professional qualification/apprenticeship.
\n
