MEP Project Manager Education Sector, Tacoma, Washington

Role Overview
Lead mechanical teams in designing MEP systems for K-12 and Higher Education projects. Serve as the primary liaison between clients, architects, and engineers to deliver compliant, high-quality plans and specifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Leadership:
    • Define project scope/objectives with stakeholders, ensuring technical feasibility.
    • Develop and maintain schedules, milestones, and resource allocation.
    • Oversee Construction Administration, including site observations and compliance.
  • Coordination & Communication:
    • Facilitate collaboration across cross-functional teams (internal/external).
    • Communicate project status, risks, and milestones to stakeholders.
  • Execution & Compliance:
    • Apply project management methodologies to tailor execution strategies.
    • Resolve issues using engineering tools and ensure documentation accuracy.
    • Escalate critical challenges to leadership proactively.

Qualifications

  • Required:
    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Architecture.
    • PE License (Mechanical/Electrical).
    • 8+ years of engineering experience; 4+ years in MEP project management.
    • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
    • Valid driver's license; 20% travel readiness (may include flights).
  • :
    • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
    • Experience in educational sector projects (K-12, Higher Ed).
