MEP QAQC ENGINEER

PURPOSE OF THE JOB: We are looking for an experienced MEP QAQC Engineer specializing in project handover processes to join our dynamic design consultancy team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and compliance of MEP systems throughout project lifecycles, with a focus on seamless handover to clients. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop and implement robust quality assurance and quality control (QAQC) programs tailored for MEP systems and project handover phases. Review and validate project documentation, including as-built drawings, specifications, and operation manuals, to ensure adherence to design intent and client requirements. Collaborate closely with project teams, subcontractors, and clients to address and resolve quality issues and discrepancies during handover stages. Conduct detailed inspections, audits, and systematic reviews of MEP installations to verify compliance with design standards and regulatory requirements. Provide expert guidance and support to project teams to facilitate smooth project handovers and client acceptance. Document and report QAQC findings, non-conformities, and corrective actions taken, ensuring thoroughness and accuracy in compliance records. Continuously improve QAQC processes by analyzing data, implementing best practices, and fostering a culture of quality excellence. KEY QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field. 15+ years of proven experience as a QAQC Engineer in a design consultancy or similar environment, focusing on MEP systems and project handover processes. In-depth knowledge of MEP design principles, construction methodologies, and relevant building codes and regulations. Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail and the ability to identify and resolve complex technical issues. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams and communicate technical concepts to clients. Certification in quality management (e.g., ISO 9001) and proficiency in relevant software tools for documentation and reporting are advantageous.
