Mgr, Data Engineering - Hybrid

Manage a team to of data engineers to create enterprise solutions that integrate, transform, and simplify the use of data for reporting and analytics. The primary responsibility of this team is developing, maintaining, and supporting the enterprise data warehouse/lake. The ideal candidate will have experience developing data solutions in modern cloud data solutions, leadership experience, and a solid understanding of data warehousing techniques. Responsibilities Collaborate with business users to develop, prioritize, and manage a backlog of projects to develop enterprise data solutions for business problems. Guide and coach a team to deliver effective data products with a focus on speed and quality Oversee and assist with business requirement capture, development estimates, and project planning Identify problems, propose solutions, and create consensus on design and delivery of projects Recruitment, interviews and hiring, setting goals, conducting performance reviews, coaching and training for employees and interns Partner with analysts, BI users, and other data users across several departments on problem solving, data investigations, research, and issue management QualificationsQualifications Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Management, or related field, or equivalent professional experience 8 years progressive experience with data warehousing, date engineering, or data extraction and transformation Technical Skills and Knowledge Excellent written and oral communication skills Ability to work with a variety of stakeholders and effectively handle multiple tasks/deadlines Experience with project management and planning Experience overseeing execution of the software development lifecycle Strong understanding of Data Warehousing principles and architecture Background or knowledge of healthcare data and terminology preferred Experience with public cloud data warehouses, tools, techniques, and ELT methodology preferred Medical Mutual is looking to grow our team!
