Primary Purpose
Successful candidates are expected to comply with general attendance policies and safety policies and procedures.

Primary Purpose
Can perform a variety of welding functions. the individual should be familiar with and capable
of using various types of welding equipment. Responsible for maintaining quality. Responsible to the JobBoss process and reporting accurate quantities.

Essential Duties
Manually guide electrode or gun along weld line, maintaining length of arc and speed of movement to form specified depth of fusion and bead, as judged from of metal, sound of weld and size of molten puddle. 

Other Duties
Assist other departments as required/directed.  May act as line leader, setting up lines, and checking weld quality of co-workers as required. Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Experience and Qualifications
Ability to:

  • Perform simple shop math and convert decimals to fractional equivalents. 
  • Read a calibrated tape measure.
  • Read and interpret blueprints
  • Ability to read and interpret documents finished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and quality and procedure manuals.


Experience
6 months required in welding
3 year(s) in welding, reading blueprints, and checking weld quality.
