Job Description

Major Recruitment are looking to hire for MIG Welder / Fabricators for our well established client based in Nottingham

Shifts Available:

\n

\n
• \nMornings/Afternoons: Rotating fortnightly, 6am-2pm / 2pm-10pm

\n

• \nNights: Sunday Night - Thursday Night, 10pm-6am

\n

\n

Pay Rate: £12-£16 per hour + shift allowance

\n

\n
• \nMornings/Afternoons: £1 per hour shift allowance for the first 40 hours

\n

• \nNights: £2.62 per hour shift allowance for the first 40 hours

\n

• Overtime paid at 1.5x rate after 40 hours

\n

• Paid 10-minute and 30-minute breaks

\n

\n

Key Responsibilities:

\n

\n
• Proficient in MIG welding of thin mild steel and stainless steel (primarily stainless).

\n

• TIG welding experience is welcomed but not essential; pay rates negotiable if experienced.

\n

• Ability to learn and adapt to welding aluminum if necessary.

\n

• Capable of dressing own welds and performing additional tasks such as drilling and tapping when required.

\n

• Strong ability to interpret and work from technical drawings accurately.

\n

\n

Requirements:

\n

\n
• Proven experience in welding, particularly with stainless steel.

\n

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings accurately.

\n

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.

\n

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

\n

• Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and challenges.

\n

• Weld test completed for all candidates.

\n

• Majority of work involves welding 5-10mm thick materials, but sometimes thinner.

\n
