Millwork CAD/CAM CNC Programmer/Operator
Job DescriptionJob DescriptionMillwork CAD/CAM CNC Programmer/OperatorJob Posting Our company is searching for a Qualified and experienced CAD/CAM drafting with professional experience in Programming and Operating a 2024 DMS 3-axis machine with rotary and a 3-axis ShopBot machine. This candidate must be a skilled professional in this custom millwork/woodworking field. Candidate must have at least (3 years +) experience as well as good attention to detail, and knowledge of Custom carpentry parts that a builder/contractor would need such as Radius trim, Radius crown molding, stair parts, cabinetry, custom doors and timber truss, etc.
Responsibilities:
· Experience in setting up and managing CNC machines to perform different jobs including cutting and milling & profiling.
· Read/interpret drawing/part specifications
· Translate CAD/CAM drawings and requirements into dimensions for production.
· Oversee the machines while they execute the tasks and make the necessary changes to produce improved results.
· Communicate logistics issues that arise in the process of creating a part.
· Ensure that the results of the machining process align with client expectations.
· Conduct regular CNC machine assessments.
Requirements:
At least 3-5 years of experience in CAD/CAM drafting and CNC Programming in MasterCAM and Vectric software or related diploma in a Community College or Trade School.
- Must be able to perform well in a busy, fast-paced environment.
- Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve effectively and efficiently.
- QuickBooks knowledge, Excel spreadsheet experience/Word doc/Microsoft Word
- Work with others in all needed departments, Shop/molder/CNC, and Sales representatives.
- Stong Comprehension and analytical abilites
- Good computer and mathematical skills
