Role: Model-Based Systems Engineer
Location: Coventry – Hybrid Working depending on team
Salary: £45,000 - £62,000 – Depending on Experience
Our client, an established UK aerospace & defence firm, are seeking a number of Model-Based Systems Engineers to join their team. You’ll join a dynamic team at the forefront of innovation, where you’ll contribute to the foundational stages of a future Submarine programme, influencing key decisions and shaping the next of underwater technology.
Some of the main duties of the Model-Based Systems Engineer will include:
- You will provide subject matter expertise and advice to internal and external stakeholders on Systems Engineering and Model Based Systems Engineering
- Coach and mentor in Systems Engineering practices
- Lead activities and supervise others as they tailor and develop Systems Engineering practices to suit the needs of a particular project / programme of work
- Effectively communicate and negotiate with stakeholders to ensure the development and delivery of optimised systems
- Demonstrate expertise in a given domain and also absorb and process new domain knowledge quickly
- You will work collaboratively across Engineering disciplines and other Functions
What experience you need to be the successful Model-Based Systems Engineer:
- You are an experienced Engineer with a breadth of systems engineering knowledge and an understanding of the full engineering lifecycle
- You understand systems engineering approaches, processes and procedures
- You are degree qualified or have equivalent experience in a science technology, engineering, or mathematics related discipline
