By narrowly defining the Core Purpose, you’re able to define what’s needed to solve the existing business challenge(s)As the semiconductor technologies advance, the roles of new materials are becoming crucial in the technology development. We intend to establish the atomistic modeling and simulation capability (especially the DFT and quantum chemistry) to help us:Understand the chemical reactions and material properties under nano scale, which is becoming more and more challenging and expensive to achieve with conventional approaches.Design, evaluate and screen new materials or chemical formulations applied in diversified semiconductor processes expeditiously to shorten the overall new product development cycle time. In this role you will:Work with different RD staffs, technologists, FAE etc. within Entegris or external customers/users to define problems and translate them into practical modeling and simulation projects.Establish atomistic models and simulations (DFT, molecular dynamics, , ReaxFF, etc.) efficiently combining different tools.Calculate and conclude important parameters or properties of a material system based on problem statements to help project stakeholders gain new insights with which they can expedite the technology/product development processes.Internalize and standardize derivative IPs (backgrounds & scenarios, models, parameters, codes, procedures, formula, calculations, etc.) of every project systematically to facilitate the re-use of such outcomes in other similar systems efficiently when necessary. Traits we believe make a strong candidate:Good communication skills in both Mandarin and EnglishA team player able to work with different stakeholders in diversified task forces.Basic understanding of semiconductor processesAcademic backgrounds or experiences in atomistic modeling and simulation (especially in DFT or quantum chemistry) in chemical systems, material design or related areas.Proficiency in establishing atomistic models and simulations with commercial software or open-source software effectively and efficiently. Familiarity with one or more of the following molecular/atomistic modeling and simulation packages: LAMMPS, GROMACS, Quantum ESPRESSO, VASP, xtb, COSMO-RS(-SAC), etc.Programming with Python, C++ etc. to extract, re-organize and calculate raw data from derivative databases.Ability to do research independently to identify best atomistic modeling and simulation approaches for targeted problems.
