Mooring System Engineer

Airswift is seeking a Mooring System Engineer to work on an outsourced contract in Rio de Janeiro with a major Oil & Gas Operator.





JOB RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Prepare, optimize, plan, and execute design of the mooring system.




• Detail engineering of mooring system




• Follow-on engineering of mooring system




• As-build analysis of mooring system




• As-installed analysis of mooring system




• Construction and fabrication follow-up of mooring system components across the globe – travel must be expected.




• Development of mooring system operational manuals and required technical documentation.?




• Support EPI to develop SO-documentation.




• Perform verification activities and drive qualification process of the mooring chain fabricator to be permanent qualified as a supplier in Equinor.




• Handover of mooring system to SURF and EPI




• Completion of mooring system (MC and LCI)




• Verification of Contractor(s) deliverables during engineering, procurement and fabrication/construction of the mooring system




• Reporting of Contractor’s progress to management




• Experience transfer on mooring system within Equinor organization: PDP, REN, TDI, and EPN OTE




• Responsible for technology assessment of the mooring system and its components, including technical clarifications towards vendors and follow-up technology qualification program.




• Follow-up TQP of torpedo piles and achieving TRL 7




• Identify and drive interfaces related to the mooring system.




• Close interface with mechanical discipline for shipboard equipment 




• Close collaboration with Marine Operations Eng/Lead to ensure an installation friendly mooring system




• Responsible for risk identification and mitigation related to the mooring system 

JOB QUALIFICATIONS 

• M.Sc. in Marine Technology, Naval Architecture, Offshore Engineering, or similar




• Experience with global performance and mooring on floating installations




• Experience from ultra deep water FPSO EPC-projects in Execution Phase




• Experience from integrity management of mooring system on assets in operation




• Experience as mooring system lead for FPSO




• Experience from construction site follow-up




• Experience with quality follow-up




• Experience as Company Representative




• Understanding of mooring components fabrication and construction




• Understanding of NDT and welding




• In depth knowledge of Equinor’s TR and GL




• In-depth knowledge of Equinor’s Management System




• Fluent in English




• Experience with ProCoSys




• Experience with technology qualification and vendor qualification
