Motorcycle Service Technician
Job DescriptionJob DescriptionGrand Canyon Harley-Davidson is currently looking for a highly motivated Motorcycle Service Technician. Must be able to repair and maintain both customer and dealer owned motorcycles within the allotted time schedule. Must strive to ensure customers receive a top rated experience. Candidates must have the passion for motorcycling as well as a high level of self-pride in your work. Candidates must be honest, self-driven, results-oriented, with a positive outlook, and a clear focus on the highest of customer service standards.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform service on customer & dealer motorcycles in accordance with Harley-Davidson specs
- Demonstrate prompt, dependable and high quality workmanship
- Complete repair work within the scheduled or allotted time period
- Maintain productivity (time spent working on billable jobs) as close to 100% as possible
- Accept work assignments from Service Writer/Manager
- Request parts for jobs
- Ensure proper completion and filing of job paperwork
- Keep work areas clean and assist others with maintaining shop cleanliness
- Maintain technical qualification by completing necessary training assigned by Service Manager
Qualifications & Job Requirements:
- MMI Graduate and/or Harley-Davidson Technician Experience Only
- Maintain up to date mechanical knowledge of motorcycles
- Understanding of computer systems and have good computer skills
- Enthusiasm for motorcycles – particularly Harley-Davidson
- Dealership experience
- Technicians are required to own their own tools
- Must exhibit a strong work ethic and work well in a team environment
- Motorcycle endorsement/license required with clean driving record
