Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Job Description

We are currently seeking an experienced Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer with an Electrical Bias to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of heavy-duty cargo material handling systems, ensuring their optimal performance and minimizing downtime.\n\nSalary: £45,000 per annum + £5714 On call allowenece + Overtime\n\nHours: 7:00 am - 4:00 pm, Monday to Friday\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\n * Conducting routine maintenance checks on material handling systems, including electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic components.\n\n * Diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues.\n\n * Performing repairs and replacements of faulty parts as necessary.\n\n * Conducting preventative maintenance to prevent breakdowns and ensure continuous operation.\n\n * Responding promptly to equipment breakdowns and resolving issues efficiently to minimize downtime.\n\n * Collaborating with other team members and departments to ensure effective communication and coordination of maintenance activities.\n\n * Documenting maintenance activities and keeping accurate records of equipment performance and repairs.\n\nRequirements:\n\n * Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer, preferably with a focus on heavy-duty cargo material handling systems.\n\n * Electrical qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).\n\n * Strong electrical troubleshooting skills and the ability to read electrical schematics.\n\n * Experience with mechanical and hydraulic systems is advantageous.\n\n * Flexibility to participate in a 1 in 3 call-out rota.\n\n * Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with colleagues and clients\n\n * Able to provide 5 years full working references\n\nIf you are a proactive and skilled Maintenance Engineer with an Electrical Bias looking to take on a new challenge, please submit your CV or call (phone number removed)
