Maintenance Engineer Opportunity – South Essex



Location: South Essex

Salary: £45,000 (during probation) – rising to £47,500 after probation

Shifts: 8am-4pm during probation, then rotating earlies (6am-2pm), days, lates (2pm-10pm) + 1 in 5 weekend call-out rota

What You’ll Be Doing:



* Diagnosing and repairing electrical & mechanical faults on production equipment



* Online PLC troubleshooting to ensure smooth operations



* Working with single & three-phase motors, variable speed drives, and safety circuits



* Performing preventative and reactive maintenance across the site



* Handling welding, machining, and large mechanical repairs



* Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to optimize plant efficiency



* Participating in a 1-in-5 weekend call-out rota after probation



What We’re Looking For:



Proven experience in maintenance engineering within an industrial, food, or FMCG Strong electrical and mechanical skills with hands-on expertise Ability to work independently and as part of a team

A proactive, problem-solving mindset with a commitment to health & safety

Experience with PLC fault-finding and troubleshooting is highly desirable
