Role: In this role your duties will include preventative maintenance on machines and equipment; as well as responding to emergency machine break downs throughout the plant, Involvement with new design, installation and movements of existing machines, Overhaul and repair of machines and equipment. Ensuring machines and equipment on site are safe, working efficiently and fit for purpose. It will also involve ensuring all work is carried out within Health and Safety legislation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform regular maintenance and repair of machinery to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.
* Utilise your electrical engineering accreditation to troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues; mechanical skills are a plus.
* Monitor and maintain operational and engineering KPIs to ensure efficiency and productivity.
* Collaborate with the production team to support the smooth operation of the plant.
* Implement preventive maintenance schedules and maintain accurate records of work performed.
* Diagnose and rectify faults using diagnostic tools and techniques.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
* Provide technical support and training to junior staff as needed.
Requirements:
* Proven experience in a maintenance engineering role within the FMCG industry.
* Electrical engineering accreditation, mechanical accreditation is advantageous.
* Strong PC skills, including proficiency with maintenance management software.
* Solid understanding of operational and engineering KPIs.
* Experience in maintaining and repairing FMCG machinery.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
* Flexibility to work shifts and respond to emergency call outs when necessary
