Job Title: Multi-Skilled Engineer (Mechanical Bias)
Location: Ellesmere Port
Pay Rate: £20 per hour during induction period; £21.95 per hour after induction
Shift Pattern: 4 on, 4 off (Nights - 6pm to 6am, 12-hour shifts)
Position Type: Permanent

Total Staff Services are recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Engineer to join our client based in Ellesmere Port. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a mechanical bias who is seeking to enhance their skills in a supportive environment. Key Responsibilities:

\n

• \nMechanical Maintenance & Repairs: Responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing a variety of mechanical systems and equipment.

\n

• \nFabrication/Welding: Experience in welding or fabrication is desirable. While not essential, full training will be provided to the right candidate.

\n

• \nGeneral Engineering Tasks: Perform both planned and reactive maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth operation of all equipment and systems.

\n

• \nTraining & Development: Full training will be provided to ensure all skills required for the role are acquired and developed.

\n

\n

Requirements:

\n

\n
• \n5 years or more experience of plant fitting and maintenance in an industrial environment.

\n

• A strong commitment to safe working practices and an excellent understanding of safety standards.

\n

• Must have or be willing to undergo training to operate Telehandler and MEWP equipment.

\n

• Strong communication skills.

\n

• Good knowledge of industrial glass processing equipment.

\n

• A broad multi-skilled knowledge base (both Electrical & Mechanical).

\n

• High standard of design and fabrication skills.

\n

• Able to work autonomously with minimal supervision.

\n

• Strong reporting skills to track maintenance and repairs.

\n

• Understanding of Engineering drawings and the ability to fabricate from them.

\n

• You possess a proactive attitude and a willingness to learn and grow in your role.

\n
