NDT Technician
Job Title: NDT TechnicianDepartment: Quality Assurance / InspectionReports To: Quality Assurance ManagerJob Overview: The NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) Technician is responsible for conducting various non-destructive examinations to ensure the integrity and reliability of components and structures. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong technical background, capable of using advanced NDT methods and adhering to the highest standards of safety and quality.Key Responsibilities:Conduct Non-Destructive Tests:Perform NDT methods including but not limited to Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), Penetrant Testing (PT), Radio-graphic Testing (RT), and Visual Inspection (VT).Interpret and evaluate results according to applicable codes, standards, and specifications.Documentation and Reporting:Prepare detailed inspection reports, documenting the techniques used, findings, and recommendations.Maintain clear and accurate records of inspections and tests for quality assurance and traceability.Equipment Maintenance:Ensure proper maintenance and calibration of NDT equipment.Identify and rectify issues or malfunctions in testing equipment.Quality Assurance and Compliance:Adhere strictly to company policies, safety guidelines, and legal regulations.Stay updated with the latest advancements and best practices in NDT technologies and methods.Collaboration and Communication:Work closely with other team members, including engineers, production personnel, and other technicians, to ensure timely execution of NDT services.Effectively communicate findings, concerns, and recommendations to relevant stakeholders.
