Working Hours: M - F, 8 AM – 5 PM
Work Location: Onsite at customer facility in New York City, NY, and Washington DC
Summary/Objective:

CX Americas, US Public Sector Professional Services delivers innovative, end to end, optimized
networking and architecture solutions to public sector IT leaders who are accelerating their
mission by transforming their IT. Serving the U.S. Federal government, state and local
governments, education, and publicly funded healthcare, we provide senior technical expertise,
deep knowledge of the public sector domain, and a strong commitment to the missions of this
unique group of customers.
This position requires an engineer with advanced skills and broad experience in
Routing/Switching, as well as Data Center. The individual must be able to assess risks, foresee
potential problems and proactively collaborate and spearhead solution with customers. This role
plays a leadership role in critical delivery engagements, ensuring operational excellence in
service delivery execution and to assure customer objectives and business, transformational,
and operational outcomes are achieved. Influencing internal and external stakeholders through
innovating and compelling points of view and thought leadership on technology drivers for their
business and has a high degree of credibility with both their business and IT executives.
As a technical leader and trusted advisor, you will assess the customer requirements, develop
and manage the service delivery methods of the engineering team and execute improvements
through the eyes of the customer and internal Cisco stakeholders.

helping to craft the customer's vision for their network and maintain a secure, state of the art
environment that is second to none in terms of network up time and reliability. The qualified
engineer in this account will be able to have an impact with our SLED customers and help them
transform to meet their mission.
As part of this team, you will work directly with our SLED customers and gain hands-on
experience and exposure into their networks. You will collaborate on a variety of projects that
have a real impact to our customers’ mission critical public service goals. We will value your
ideas and perspective on how to get things done. You will work on network infrastructures and
help to deliver business solutions and technology solutions to achieve business values for our
customers.
Who You Are
Minimum Qualifications:
• Certification: CCIE R/S or Data Center Required
• Typically requires BS in Computer Science or equivalent plus 8 – 10 years relevant experience in Enterprise Networking.
• A deep understanding of key technologies and protocols in Enterprise Networking, and data center environment.
• In-depth knowledge of designing and optimizing complex network solutions.
• Is a technical expert in more than one area. Applies expected product behavior across
• industry standards. Reads technical documentation, functional specs, RFCs. Knows how the technology is expected to work in the industry.
• Expertise with Cisco software features and functionality.
• Strong operational and consultancy experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal and presentation skill.
• Ability to function in ambiguous circumstances.
• Demonstrate expertise on relevant technology and delivery methods.

Enterprise Networking, in depth knowledge in:
• Have Route/Switch advanced knowledge and experience with the following areas: Cisco
• Routing & Switching Platforms, Datacenter Switching Platforms, IP Routing,
• Internetworking, MPLS, LAN Switching, Multicast, Route Redistribution.
• Require knowledge of platforms includes Nexus 7k, 9k, 2k and Cat9K platforms.
• Must be proficient in OSPF, BGP, MPLS and switching. Additional experience in security is a plus.
• Great knowledge/experience with features, examples include: MPLS (L2/L3 VPN/VRFLite) and MPLS-TE, BGP, ISIS, OSPF, EIGRP, inter-as, QoS, Ipv6, IP SLAs, RPVST+, MST, PIM,
• DMVPN, GETVPN, NetFlow, PfR.
• Experienced in providing complex design recommendations integrating new features and new applications to Senior Leadership Teams. Advocate for the customer’s best interest and promote Cisco.
• Have programming skill like Ansible, Python, AI/ML (Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning) and etc., is a plus.
• The candidate should have experience within enterprise networking environments both in troubleshooting complex scenarios and collaborating with the client and other team members to reach outcomes the meet the client’s needs.
