How You Can Join Us

The Network Field Engineer will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of networking and communication systems, including satellite communication systems, Cisco routers and switches, and tactical communication equipment. The role requires technical expertise, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work in a dynamic environment.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Perform cabling, racking, stacking, and power setup for various equipment.
  • Service existing accounts, obtain orders, and establish new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedules to call on existing or potential sales outlets and other trade factors.

Strategy, Planning, and Execution:

  • Set-up administrator and service accounts and maintain system documentation.
  • Troubleshoot, maintain integrity, and configure network components.
  • Implement operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
  • Maintaining Operations Inventory -in accordance with projects, project manager(s), & project management tools

Leadership and Management:

  • Keep executive management informed by submitting activity and results reports as required.
  • Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems in the field, developing solutions with the team, and preparing reports/proposals.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies, seminars, and trade events.
  • Pursuing additional certifications in accordance with evolving company goals/objectives

Financial Oversight:

  • Write accurate and detailed reports on troubleshooting information as well as relevant customer needs.
  • Install, cable, and configure new Cisco/Ubiquiti routers and switches inside mobile command vehicles.

Operational Efficiency:

  • Help customers troubleshoot issues with LEO & GEO satellite connections and internal network and tactical voice issues.
  • Configure and troubleshoot IDirect x5, x7, and IQ200 upgrades (replacing X5 & X7)

Quality and Compliance:

  • Configure and troubleshoot Tracstar/Cobham, AVL, Wineguard, and Motosat Dual look controller/antenna systems.
  • Map, save, and document network configurations from within network devices such as Cisco, Ubiquiti, Cradlepoint, Grandstream, etc.

Customer Focus:

  • Make changes in configuration of routers and switches to meet changing customer needs.
  • Provide advice and training to end users.


WHAT YOULL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Previous Cisco and Ubiquiti networking experience.
  • Experience in satellite communication systems, public safety communications, tactical communications, cellular comms, emergency response.
  • Cabling, racking, stacking, power experience.
  • Previous experience in a military environment (as a contractor or service member) is a plus.
  • Ability to develop strong customer relationships and work with all levels of management.
  • Professional demeanor and communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Solid technical problem-solving skills.
  • Computer literate, including MS Office software.
  • Effective time management, organization, and leadership skills.
  • High School Diploma required.
  • Knowledge of sales strategies, concepts, and practices desired but not required.
  • Candidates with demonstrated experience and a CCNA or CCNP certification are strongly .


Certifications Required:

  • CCNA or CCNP certification .
  • Experience with Cisco networking, satellite communication systems, public safety communications, tactical communications, cellular communications, and emergency response.


Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to assemble and disassemble equipment and devices.
  • Ability to sit and stand for long periods, climb a ladder, and lift up to 50 pounds.


Travel Requirements:

  • Travel to customer sites as required (approximately 25% travel).


Security Clearance:

  • U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance required. We are willing to sponsor candidates for DoD clearance.
