Your new company: A leading provider in the geotechnical and piling industry is expanding into the subdivision and civil geotechnical testing space. The company is seeking a highly motivated Business Development Manager with strong industry connections to drive growth, secure new clients, and expand its footprint in the civil construction sector. This role presents a unique opportunity for an individual to shape and develop a new business arm within an established company. It requires a self-starter with a deep understanding of civil subdivisions, geotechnical engineering, and sales within the construction industry. Key Responsibilities: Identify and secure new business opportunities within the civil construction and subdivision sectors. Develop and maintain strong relationships with developers, civil contractors, and key stakeholders. Sell geotechnical testing and piling services, leveraging industry knowledge and contacts. Work independently to grow a new market segment, supported by a small but well-established company. Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor activities, and potential opportunities. Represent the company at industry events, networking functions, and trade shows. Provide weekly reports on sales activities, client interactions, and key market insights. About you: A background in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or similar professional with sales experience in the civil sector. Minimum 3 years experience in business development, sales, or account management within civil construction. Strong understanding of compaction reporting, subdivisions, and geotechnical processes. Existing contacts with developers, civil contractors, and earthworks professionals. Proven ability in prospecting, relationship-building, and growing a business from the ground up. Persistent, results-driven, and capable of working autonomously. Willing to travel across NSW and be in the office one day per week (Mondays).
