The Role Details

The Sales manager will be responsible for managing and driving the performance of 5 to 7 direct reports. This will sit alongside the other 4 team managers who report to the National Sales manager. The team is responsible for contacting our SME portfolio of customers via phone and email to negotiate energy contracts directly with new customers through generated leads.

We are looking for a manager with proven new business and who is able to Inspire, motivate, lead, coach, and drive energy and quality sales activity within the SME Direct Renewals and New Business Team.

This role will play a key part in driving growth and generating revenue for our new business initiatives and inputting into our new business strategy for SME direct customers including PPC marketing.

Package Details:

  • Salary: Salary negotiable depending on experience
  • Commission: Highly achievable and transparent, Up to 45% of base salary - Paid Annually
  • Working Hours: Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm
  • Contract type: Permanent
  • Location: The Pearl - 7 New Bridge St W, Newcastle upon Tyne NE1 8AQ

The role includes, but is not limited to:

  • Promote and develop a positive sales culture and working environment to increase staff morale and productivity.
  • To perform call monitoring and call analysis to ensure a first class sales culture throughout.
  • Responsible for 1-2-1’s, Personal Development Plans and Performance reviews within the agreed timescales.
  • Ensure that regular quality audits take place within the team and receive training and development where needs are identified
  • Ensure that processes within the area are reviewed regularly and re-engineered to improve efficiency and results
  • Providing support where required to team members on a day-to-day basis for issues, including sales approach and sales techniques
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve and exceed sales targets.
  • Build and nurture relationships with key decision-makers and influencers in potential customer organizations both internally and with potential third parties.

Qualifications / Experience Required

  • People Management skills with Proven account management/sales experience
  • Understanding of the Sales process
  • PPC experience
  • Excellent communicator and motivator
  • Experience in Sales Managerial experience
