Our client is a leading Oil, Gas and Petroleum group. They are expanding in 2012 and have a very strong reputation across the region. We are looking for an experienced Senior Level professional to join their organisation in Kuwait as the Senior Reservoir Engineer.OVERVIEW OF ROLELeads, administers, provides functional guidelines to team members and carries out a variety of reservoir management studies and analysis. Undertakes studies and special projects, conducts and supervises reservoir simulation studies and integrated development plans for improving methods of exploration and production of crude oil and related productsKEY RESPONSIBILITIES•Directs and supervises the activities of assigned personnel.•Initiates projects and takes charge of a project teams, provides functional guidance to the team members, review findings, makes recommendations and discussion on final report with Supervisor.•Conducts and supervises integrated reservoir simulation studies for prediction of future performance and economics for the recommended optimum development plan. •Monitors reservoir performance by reviewing and analysing production test reports, SBHP, decline curves of reservoirs and wells. Reviews and accordingly recommends remedial actions whenever required.•Participates in planning strategy for wells and reservoirs data acquisition programmes. This includes SBHP surveys, temperature profiles, fluid samples, core samples, cased hole legs (TDT, PLT, CBL), open hole logs.•Identifies work over, deepening and new drilling opportunities. Determines short term production strategy plans for wells and reservoirs to attain maximum net present value; this includes evaluating the work over result.•Produces and implements new technologies for the objective of managing, producing, and developing the reservoir more cost effectively such as the application of sand stabilizers, tracer technology to identify the water source and new logs to improve reservoir information.•Directs and participates in simulation and conventional reservoir engineering studies to determine the optimum term long reservoir management plan. Updates the simulation work as needed. Evaluates the application of EOR/IOR in reservoir with expected low recovery under primary/secondary recovery methods; this includes lab and simulation work to define the optimum EOR/IOR application.•Performs other related duties such as planning, scheduling and economic evaluation of special studies, preparing special reports, adhering to all HSE policies and regulations and reporting hazards to supervisor.•Determines work method in accordance with broad directives and professional engineering standards. Completed work is subject to general review.•Accountable for initiating and completing a full range of reservoir engineering studies and duties to optimize reservoir development.ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS•University Degree in Petroleum Engineering or related discipline •8 years†operational experience in the petroleum industry•Minimum of 4 years†experience in Reservoir Engineering•Good communications skills - written and verbal BENEFITS•Will depend on experience levels and interview performance•Competitive salary as a guide, up to $80k USD/ £50k GBP per annum total package•Should be used as a guide only and will depend on the candidate
