Position Summary:

 

 

OMTATECH is seeking an experienced and dedicated Electrical Project Manager to oversee and manage electrical construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget—while upholding the highest standards of quality, safety, and communication.

 

 

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

 

Project Planning and Execution:

 

  • Develop comprehensive project plans including scope, schedule, resources, and budgets
  • Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, and clients to meet project goals
  • Monitor project progress and proactively resolve delays or scope changes

 

 

Team Leadership and Coordination:

 

  • Lead and inspire project teams including engineers, foremen, and electricians
  • Facilitate clear communication across all stakeholders
  • Conduct regular site meetings and ensure team alignment

 

 

Financial Management:

 

  • Develop and manage project budgets
  • Track costs and implement cost-control measures
  • Provide regular updates and financial reports to management

 

 

Compliance and Safety:

 

  • Ensure all work complies with NEC, OSHA, and NYC regulations
  • Enforce safety protocols and best practices at all job sites
  • Coordinate inspections and secure necessary permits

 

 

Documentation and Reporting:

 

  • Maintain accurate records including RFIs, change orders, contracts, and logs
  • Use project management tools to track milestones, issues, and deliverables

 

 

 

 

 

Required Qualifications:

 

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience managing commercial electrical projects
  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Procore, Primavera)
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and construction methods
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
  • Valid driver’s license; willingness to travel to job sites as needed

 

 

 

 

 

Qualifications:

 

 

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety certification
  • Experience managing union or NYC-based commercial projects
