Pay Rate: $60 to $65 per hour

Job Description:

ESO Consultants is seeking an experienced Nuclear Medicine Technologist specializing in PET/CT to join our team. This position involves working with a mobile PET/CT unit that services various locations in the Charlotte area. The role requires a skilled professional capable of performing PET scans and handling radioactive materials, with a strong emphasis on patient safety and high-quality imaging.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform PET/CT scans using Siemens equipment on a mobile unit servicing Huntersville Medical Center, Matthews Medical Center, and other locations as scheduled.
  • Start and maintain peripheral IVs, draw venous blood, and manage isolation precautions.
  • Handle, store, and dispose of radioactive materials in compliance with safety regulations.
  • Utilize EPIC for patient documentation and ensure accurate and timely record-keeping.
  • Travel to different locations as per the schedule: Matthews Medical Center every Monday, Huntersville Medical Center every Friday, and alternating between the two locations on Saturdays.
  • Provide professional and compassionate care to adult patients in a hospital and mobile setting.
  • Manage a daily caseload of approximately 12 patients, maintaining a patient ratio of 1:3 on weekdays and 1:2 on weekends.
  • Adhere to strict protocols for the operation and maintenance of PET/CT equipment, ensuring optimal image quality.

Required Skills / Certifications / Experience:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
  • Experience in PET scanning and working with Siemens equipment is required.
  • Professional skills in drawing venous blood, starting and maintaining IVs, and handling radioactive materials.
  • Experience working in hospital and mobile settings is required; clinic experience is .
  • Certification: BLS, ARRT or NMTCB certification is mandatory.
  • EPIC experience is required.
  • Must be a seasoned traveler; first-time travelers are not accepted.

Job Details:

  • Shift Schedule: Monday 06:00-18:30, Friday 06:00-18:30, Saturday 06:00-18:30.
  • Contract Duration: Contracts are accepted for 13 weeks or more, up to March 15, 2025, to cover the holiday period.
  • Call Requirement: None.
  • Float Requirement: None.
  • Weekend Requirement: Every Saturday.
  • Special Equipment: Siemens PET/CT systems.
  • Patient Visits per Day: 12 patients.
  • Scrubs: Royal blue tops and bottoms.

Additional Information:

  • RTO (Requested Time Off) is not allowed after booking and cannot be arranged onsite. Any call-offs or additional RTO may result in contract cancellation and Do Not Return (DNR) status.
  • The position is based out of Novant Forsyth Medical Center but requires travel to service various locations within the Charlotte area.
  • A one-week will be provided to familiarize you with the mobile unit and ensure you are prepared to work independently.
