Nuclear Project Manager

Airswift is currently seeking a Project Manager for a 1-year contract with one of our major clients in the nuclear industry in Richland, WA.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Independently manages projects, ensuring safe, quality, on-schedule, and within-budget implementation.
  • Develops and manages project budgets, collaborating closely with finance and project controls.
  • Leads project teams, providing oversight and maintaining a broad knowledge base of new technologies and industry trends.
  • Monitors project management processes, recommending changes for improved effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Prepares and delivers written and oral communications to various groups, including senior management.
  • Develops project budgets, tracks cost versus budget, and manages contracts.
  • Interfaces with vendors to ensure effective project implementation.
  • Manages project risks, accurately tracks progress, enforces accountability, and oversees critical path and float.


Required Skills:

  • Candidate must have previous experience within project management in the nuclear industry.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is required.


Preferred Skills:

  • +14 years of experience in the role of direct supervisor or project manager in the commercial nuclear industry environment, focused on maintenance, operations, engineering, or construction.


Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, project management, business, or related field from an accredited college or university.
