We are looking for people who think big, act fearlessly, and create an inclusive environment that drives positive impact to join us!JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:We are looking for the right candidate that will lead engineering projects that delivers satellite communications system, hardware, and software for compliance with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) requirements. Your responsibilities will include:Provide technical supportEnsure OEM technical requirements are met for the integration of satellite communication equipment (including servers, modems, antennas, power supplies, radomes, and passenger user interface software) onto aircraft platformsVerify that the integration hardware and software is installable, and supportableEffective technical communication between internal teams, suppliers, and customersEnsure successful on-aircraft testing and first of type installationsDevelop and maintain user documentationWith the OEM(s), and In-Flight Entertainment (IFE) vendor(s), we will design, implement and maintain a Type Certificate (TC) approved in-flight connectivity system installation. In addition, you will have the opportunity to apply your Project Engineering and Interpersonal skills to a multi-functional Engineering team with both verbal and written interactions between the OEM, Partners, and Viasat senior leadership.REQUIREMENTS:6-8 years’ experience (a combination of Avionics, Satcom, In-Flight Connectivity)2-4 years in Project or System EngineeringExperience with FAA/EASA STC projects or OEM TC projectsExperience with System Requirements ManagementExperience with Change Control and Configuration Management processesAbility to perform Project and Resource planningAbility to handle technical riskBachelors’ Degree in an Engineering fieldAbility to travel up to 10%PREFERENCES:Masters’ degree in an Engineering fieldAbility to oversee all Engineering teams in a project such as Mechanical, Electrical, Software, etc.Experience with Aircraft systems, Avionics, and WiringExperience with System integration and TestingExperience with Network Security, IP networking , WiFi systemsExperience with Standards14 CFR PART 25/26/145RTCA-DO-160/178Airbus ABD0100 StandardARINC 429/600/791/615a!
