Offshore Jacket Engineer

Serving their customers through diverse business units, KBR offer challenging assignments on some of the world's largest and most complex projects.We have an opportunity for Offshore Jacket Engineers to support work under contract. The position is based in KBR’s Leatherhead Campus with Hybrid working(3 Days in office minimum). The role offers an attractive hourly rate and offers a fantastic twenty four month duration. This is contract assignment, is deemed to be outside of IR35, although this will be determined by Qdos assessment. Candidates are required to have the legal right to work in the United Kingdom. As a Technical Advisor - Offshore structural, you will support the lead related preparation of engineering deliverables within the scope assigned: o Design basis, material and construction specificationso Independently perform engineering analyses for operational (inservice) phase (inplace, fatigue, seismic), non-operational phase (loadout, transportation, launch, upending and setdown) and accidental phase (boat impact, ALE earthquake, pushover).o Perform detailed design of jacket appurtenanceso Review analyses/ calculations performed by others, provide technical guidance and proactively resolve any discrepancies The work will involve liaising with other disciplines, client and 3rd party contractors and coordinating and working with project team members across global offices to deliver the tasks within allotted timelines and budgets. REQUIREMENTS • Degree in Structural Engineering Design• Minimum experience of 15 years having excellent technical and practical engineering skills and able to consistently deliver on quality and schedule.• Proficiency with SESAM/ SACS software is required.• Proficiency to perform non-linear FEA using ABAQUS and USFOS is desirable.• In-depth knowledge of latest revisions of offshore design codes such as ISO 19901, EN 19902 and applicable DNV & NORSOK codes is a must.• Ability to work efficiently and effectively when managing multiple tasks• Ability to work both independently and in a multi-disciplinary team environment• Ability to work in an office based role
