Join a leading telecommunications company as a Risk Management Specialist!

Job Overview: We are seeking a highly experienced Risk Manager to support our CTO in managing and mitigating risks across various domains. This role involves working closely with risk champions, assessing control effectiveness, and providing valuable insights to senior stakeholders.

• Contract: 13 weeks (with visibility to extend)
• Daily Rate: £600 per day via umbrella
• Location: Reading (hybrid – twice per week on-site)

Key Responsibilities:

• Work with risk champions across CTO to provide risk exposure and control effectiveness information.
• Determine CTO’s exposure to risk against its risk tolerance.
• Identify emerging risk trends and assess their impact on CTO’s risk profile.
• Assess control effectiveness in design and operation.
• Identify internal control issues and concerns.
• Support the business in the quantitative and qualitative assessment of risks to aid financial planning on plausible and worst-case scenarios.
• Facilitate the management of issues and concerns, challenge the appropriateness of management mitigation plans, and track risk mitigation actions.

Key Requirements:

• Must be a very experienced Risk Manager.
• Strong experience in risk and control self-assessment (RCSA/CRSA).
• Ability to understand technology, even if not from a telco background.
• Must have supported Operations and Conduct risks; understanding of Financial and Capacity risks is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of speaking to very senior stakeholders.
• Previous telecoms experience is highly desirable.
