Overview of role:

We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented, proactive individual to join the team at Ripple+ as the Operations Logistics Manager.


You will be responsible for overseeing the efficiency and commerciality of the various 3PL facilities we work with in 3 or 4 key global locations to ensure swift and accurate distribution, reliable stock holding and ensuring a smooth interface with order processing. 


To source and negotiate contracts with new 3PL as and when the need is identified. 


Your focus will be on tracking and analysing inbound deliveries and ensuring stock is received and handled accurately.


Comfortable reviewing sales data and forward forecasts and present weekly position to stakeholders. Work closely with the purchasing department to ensure stock is ordered and scheduled to go to the correct facility in a timely and efficient manner.


Other roles would include liaising with couriers, addressing customer complaints, and maintaining accurate stock records. 


Additionally, you will oversee other relevant tasks, including influencer operations, stock management, and monitoring freight deliveries.


Responsibilities:

  • Ripple's primary point of contact working with various 3PLs globally
  • Working with freight forwarders in order to compare costs versus service levels for importing  
  • Negotiating warehouse and distribution costs for deliveries to retailers and
  • e-commerce consumers
  • Ensure accuracy of stock forecasts
  • Ensure accuracy of physical stocks held at 3PLs and check they are in line with paper stock levelss 
  • Manage stock level in the London office  
  • Setting the parameters of KPIs with all 3PLs and reporting back internally to key stakeholders
  • Track and analyse delivery times and work on ways to improve costs and service levels.
  • Identify areas for improvement to ensure timely picking, packing and despatch of orders.

     

Other functions to include :

  • Upload retail orders into the system, ensuring accuracy and completeness of information.
  • Communicate with courier companies such as DHL, UPS, FedEx, etc., to resolve issues related to delayed deliveries or packaging problems.
  • Process pack-up requests from customers, ensuring prompt and accurate fulfilment.
  • Monitor orders in the Shopify platform, verifying the correctness of the information and addressing any discrepancies.
  • Address customer complaints promptly and professionally, providing appropriate solutions and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Track shipments from international locations eg. China ensuring timely and accurate delivery of samples and other items.
  • Handle returns and faulty reporting. Coordinating with relevant departments to facilitate smooth resolution and maintain accurate records.
  • Regularly update and share stock reports, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information for effective inventory management.
  • Update and share retail sales reports, providing insights into sales performance and trends.
  • Perform stockkeeping at the office, ensuring organisation and accuracy in inventory management.
  • Maintain cleanliness and order in retail stores, ensuring a pleasant shopping experience for customers.
  • Assist in influencer operations, coordinating influencer orders and managing promotional activities as required.
  • Ensure stock accuracy through regular physical counts and quarterly audits, identifying discrepancies and implementing corrective measures.
  • Monitor freight shipments, ensuring deliveries are on time and coordinating with logistics partners to resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Support the purchasing function as needed. To ensure purchase orders, delivery notes / GRN and supplier invoices match up/ Chase in missing documents as needed and clearly highlight any discrepancies


Qualifications:

  • 3 to 4 years experience in warehouse and stock management 
  • High attention to detail and good analytical mind
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Proficiency in using inventory management software, warehouse management systems and platforms, such as Shopify.
  • Familiarity with courier companies and their operations (e.g., DHL, UPS, FedEx).
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise workload effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically in fast-paced situations.
  • Knowledge of retail operations and customer service principles.
  • Experience in data analysis and reporting.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
