The Ops Engineering Space is at the fore front of the infrastructure transformation. You will work in a small team with other engineers, managing supportable, sustainable and reliable services.Responsibilities of the role will include: Initiating continuous process improvements for better operational effectivenessIdentifying re-occurring manual tasks with a view to automateDeveloping corrective actions to resolve operational issuesUpgrading and patching lifecycle managementSupporting the start-up and integration of new operations from projectsIdentifying and implementing cost optimization and reduction initiativesInvestigating and understanding root causes for issues in business operations The Role will require an appreciation of the following technologies:AWS, TerraForm, Azure, Gitlab, LINUX Administration (RHEL); OpsView, PagerDuty, Ansible, Bastion Host, and more.You will also be able to display: Good communication skills both in written and verbal with the ability to convey complex technical concepts clearly and concisely.A good understanding of using robust Software Engineering best practices/methodologies.An ability to converse with both internal and external stakeholders.An appetite for learning new technologies.A capacity to identify and drive forward improvements.An awareness of DevOps and Agile principlesGood problem-solving and troubleshooting skillsWorking collaboratively, you will not necessarily need to know the all answers - you just need to know how to get them from the people who do. An inquisitive mind will be advantageous.
