Elevation Recruitment Group are proudly working with a speciality metals manufacturer in South Yorkshire, to recruit an Operations Manager to join their Senior Management Team.

Our client is looking for an individual who has excellent planning and organisational skills with a "can do" forward thinking attitude, a high level of flexibility and a desire to promote a continuous improvement culture.

Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, the Operations Manager will be responsible for a small team of Process Operators across all aspects of Health & Safety, employee well-being, working environment and waste streams.

Other responsibilities of the Operations Manager will include:

• Guaranteeing that all policies are followed as per QA and ISO requirements, including accident reporting and corrective actions taken
• Continuously looking to increase productivity and minimise losses
• Identify any training or development needs within the team whilst ensuring all operatives meet the required skills and competencies for their job function
• Develop and monitor KPI’s as well as logging and tracking process improvements
• Manage operational budgets for department and deliver CAPEX plans for future improvements
• Ensure product stocks are accurate
• Full HR duties including performance and absence management
• Work closely with the engineering team to ensure that equipment uptime is optimised and prevent downtime as much as possible

We would be keen to speak with experienced Managers with the below skills and experience:

• A degree in Manufacturing or Engineering is desirable
• Experienced in leading teams within medium to heavy manufacturing environments
• Financial awareness with experience in managing budgets
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Ability to demonstrate real achievement in similar roles using experience to personally deliver exceptional results
• IOSH qualified
• Proven examples of implementing process improvements and leading on CAPEX projects
