Primary Responsibilities

  1. Directly and indirectly supervises 379+ employees.
  2. Coach, develops, trains, and mentors all individuals in the Production and Kitchen departments.
  3. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  4. Ensure that all production and kitchen activities comply with Safety regulations and industry standards to create a safe working environment.
  5. Maintain adherence to local, state, and federal laws regarding labor, environmental regulation, and handling of hazardous materials.
  6. Ensure complete compliance to prescribed Safety, Quality policies, FDA, USDA, Food Safety Requirements including GMPs requirements. Establish and maintain standard operating procedures.
  7. Partner cross functionally with Planning, Quality, Manufacturing, Maintenance, and the Warehouse to maximize efficiencies, equipment reliability, and output of high-quality product in a safe manner.
  8. Lead product and equipment investigations, reports, and investigate non-conformities.
  9. Determine the human and material resources required to meet production targets.
  10. Encourage the use of new techniques and focus on fact-based problem-solving.
  11. Facilitate the use of continuous improvement methodologies, and Lean Management principles to improve production processes, eliminate waste, optimize workflows, and improve OEE.
  12. Assure attainment of business objectives and production schedules while ensuring product standards that will exceed our customer’s expectations. Support Month End activities and ensure all production orders are closed by month end
  13. Develop and manage the Production and Bakey budgets, controlling costs related to labor, equipment, and supplies.
  14. Generate regular reports on key performance indicators (KPI’s) such as Safety Incident Rate, Quality KPI’s, OEE, Efficiency, Order Attainment, and others to inform strategic decisions.
  15. Additional tasks/projects as assigned.

Education and/or Experience

B.A. / Masters degree (M. B. A.) or an equivalent; and eight to ten years related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Proven track record of implementing Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement Methodologies. Experience managing cross functional teams and leading CI initiatives. Kaizen, 5S, or other relevant process improvement experience.Proven track record of implementing Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement Methodologies.
