Salary: $80,000 - $95,000 per year
Schedule: Monday – Friday, occasional Saturdays

Job Summary
The Operations Manager, reporting to the District Manager, will oversee the day-to-day operations of the depot, including managing all drivers, dispatchers, and support staff. This role is responsible for ensuring operational efficiency, safety compliance, and effective service delivery while fostering a culture of employee engagement and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and direct all depot staff, ensuring adherence to company policies and safety standards.
- Manage daily operations, including routing, logistics, and dispatch.
- Monitor and control labor and operating expenditures.
- Foster employee engagement and drive a positive work culture.
- Enforce safety and accident prevention programs.
- Maintain municipal contracts and build strong relationships with local government officials.
- Develop and implement training programs.
- Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and industry safety standards.
- Support maintenance to ensure equipment compliance.
- Collaborate across departments for special projects and community events.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in transportation or solid waste management .
- Experience managing teams and developing employee engagement strategies.
- Strong knowledge of HRIS systems, AMCS, ENCORE, Intelex, and MS Office.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to effectively communicate with staff at all levels.
- Familiarity with DOT rules and safety regulations.
- Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
