Air Compressor Solutions (ACS) is a full-service distributor for Ingersoll Rand, Doosan Equipment and other equipment lines. We cover a wide range of tools, air compressors and generator products. This position plans, schedules, monitors, and executes the flow of materials, components, equipment, and inventory for our manufacturing process. Person coordinates with the sales team to receive customer demand and plan accordingly to meet our customers’ needs.
ACS is a growing, family-owned company that has been in operation for over 30 years in the Permian Basin. This position will be for a highly motivated person with a positive attitude and a desire to exceed our customer’s expectations. Job Requirements
- Develops and maintains a Master Schedule to satisfy customer demands
- Participates in the S&OP process by providing updates to work in process
- Creates work orders and maintains open orders for each delivery
- Collaborates with Supply Chain and Parts Warehouse functions to develop a process for managing part shortages and communication to the internal/external supply base.
- Provides input to the Supply Chain and Sales team for appropriate safety stock inventory levels to manage demand while satisfying inventory turn targets.
- Participates in daily & weekly meetings with other departments to advise status of critical items and assist teams with work prioritization
- Identifies and assists with potential problems with meeting requested deadlines and troubleshoots purchase problems and facilitates resolution.
Skills and Abilities
- Familiar with the theory of constraints as it pertains to demand planning.
- Strong Attention to Detail and organizational skills
- Comfortable working in a fast pace and sometimes ambiguous environment with competing priorities.
- Demonstrate strong communication and negotiation skills in order to interact with suppliers and co-workers in a team-based environment
- Must demonstrate an understanding of BOM structures and supply/demand information related to orders
- Must be an independent self-starter and complete multiple tasks in a high volume and fast paced environment
- Familiarity with the full MS Suite with emphasis on above average Excel Skills
- Solid analytical skills, with the ability to conduct cost and schedule analyses
Education / Training
- High school diploma or GED certificate.
- Prefer 3 years of experience in materials planning, scheduling, dispatching, and/or purchasing systems
- APICS certifications or specialty training in materials/production control area desired
