About the Role Seeking a skilled and experienced Safety Officer to join the companies Operations and Maintenance Team on a newly installed 250mw Battery facility in Adelaide. This is a full time, short-term 1 to 3 month assignment that has the potential to evolve into a permanent opportunity. The role is safety focused however electrical knowledge would be advantageous. Responsible for conducting inspections, audits, documentation, reporting and risk assessments, providing guidance, training to employees and assisting the Facility Maintenance Superintendent to achieve a high standard to meet owners’ requirements. The successful candidate must possess good communication skills and be conversant with promoting and maintaining a positive safety culture. Responsibilities Periodic review of Safety Management Plans. Conduct regular inspections and site audits to identify potential EHS risks and hazards, report them and support corrective action planning Ensure compliance with relevant occupational health & safety and environmental standards and regulations. Conduct OHS incident investigations and Complete incident reports. Coordinate and assist with emergency procedures and periodic emergency drills Conduct facility inductions. Complete HSE monthly reporting to support. Assist Site Superintendent to meet client HSE KPI requirements. Where required assist Site Superintendent with switching and electrical permit requirements and job safety assessment Requirements Certification 4 in WHS (Work Health & Safety) - essential Computer skills Word, Excel, Powerpoint Electrical background and or higher preferred certification in electrical safety or a related field will be an advantage Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team. Prior industry experience White Card SA drivers license and own car Benefits Exposure working with a Global company managing large scale Battery Energy Storage (BESS) projects in Australia Great site team culture Competitive hourly rate starting from $58 to $78 per hour + super (depending level of experience) Monday to Friday, 8 hours a day from 7 am to 3 pm Ad hoc overtime when required activity driven Site location is 30 minutes North West of Adelaide CBD Temporary to Permanent potential If this sounds like you or someone you know, don't hesitate to get in contact.
