Leadership characteristics and strong technical proficiency are essential as this role drives strategies and integrates technology and engineering disciplines across the enterprise; mentors technical members; and stitches together technical, engineering and mission threads requirements, strategies and gaps. The Chief Engineer will work alongside senior leaders of the Corporate CTO organization and will report directly to the Director, Operations, Integration and Strategy, Corporate CTO.Roles and Responsibilities:* As Corporate Operations Technical Lead, ensure the technical vision for the enterprise is socialized, implemented, and executed.* Build strong connections with Engineering, Technical, and Strategy teams across the enterprise.* Collaborate with technical leaders across the enterprise to identify various best practices such as training, career paths, and to implement across the corporation.* Develop processes and procedures to operationalize the dissemination of technical information, assessments of capability gaps, NGC CRADA to NGC stakeholders and technology campaigns as well as manage internal schedules to support key Government stakeholder decision making technical events.* Develop and manage technical products and deliverables; coordinate data and information exchange across enterprise with key stakeholders.Basic Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in STEM with 20+ years experience or 18+ years experience with Masters degree in STEM OR 15+ Years with a STEM PhD.Must have an activeTop Secret/SCI Security ClearanceDemonstrates technical leadership success and ability to influence strategic decisions at Executive levelHighly effective interpersonal skills with successful collaboration with peers, partnering functions within engineering, and all levels of managementPreferred Qualifications:Experience engaging with Service labs and industrial partners.Experience developing strategic products at executive level.Ability to lead complex, multi-sector wide projects.Salary Range: $173,300.00 - $259,900.00Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to basepay.
