Outside Sales Representative - Electric Motors and Drives

We are a leading electric motor and drive distributor seeking an experienced outside sales representative to drive sales growth in the Houston market.
Qualified individuals will be extremely service oriented with a great attitude and have current experience selling products into industrial customers. Knowledge of electric motors, power transmission, and/or variable frequency drives is key.
Responsibilities:
- Prospect for customers, schedule appointments, and make sales calls
- Perform needs assessment, motor surveys, sales presentations, and technical training
- Negotiate pricing, close sales, and follow up to ensure customer satisfaction
- Develop solutions to customer challenges
- Organize and attend joint calls with vendors
- Attend trade shows
Requirements:
- Current experience selling products to industrial customers in the Houston market
- Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record
- Must live in or near the sales territory
- Experience with Microsoft Office suite and CRM a plus
