Packaging Plant Electrician PLC
Job DescriptionJob Description
We are currently seeking an Electrician to join our 1st Shift! You will strive to provide safe electrical systems for a variety of customers in our packaging plant.
Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and solve problems in packaging facility
- Install, repair, and maintain electrical components of packaging equipment.
- Install and repair electrical equipment and fixtures
- Troubleshoot motor and control systems
- Perform routine maintenance on electrical wiring and systems
- Observe safety procedures and meet electrical codes
- Make decisions based on technical documents
- Perform quality testing and inspections
- Work as a team member or alone to complete projects
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in electrical engineering or other related fields
- Previous experience in a manufacturing facility
- Knowledge of PLC (Allen Bradley, Festo, CLICK) and VFDs
- Pneumatic Controls
- Ladder logic and wiring diagrams
- Familiarity with AC/DC motors
- Familiarity with electrical schematics, blueprints, and manuals
- Familiarity with electrical equipment and hand tools
- Previous experience with forklift, man lifts, and other material handling equipment
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Basic computer skills such as Outlook, Word, and Excel
