We are seekingPaint Estimatorto become part of our team!

Your responsibilities will include:

• Responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates that can be used to bid on marine and shipyard projects for the US Navy, Coast Guard and other government ornon governmentorganizations and companies.
• May prepare bids for coatings, paint, blast and preservation
• Keep up with the industry trends, material costs and construction methods.
• Assist in developingproject, schedules and timelines.
• Prepare weekly analysis of results.
• Obtain bids and packages from vendors, subcontractors, prime contractors and government agencies.
• Assist with maintaining continuity among operations and field personnel by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities and continuing needs.
• Network and build relationships with vendors, suppliers, sub and prime contractors.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements for this role include:

• High School/GED education at a minimum.
• At least 5 years ofestimating similar servicesin a shipyard environment.
• Mustbe able and willing to work a flexible schedule to include overtime and weekends.
• Strong computer skills especially with Microsoft Office or 365.
• Working knowledge of NAVSEA Standard Items.
• Technical knowledge with submarine and/or surface combat ships recommended.
• Must have the ability to communicate effectively with personnel in and outside of the organization.
• Must be able to gain access to military installations and various shipyards.
