Piping Material & Valve Engineer

TRS has an exciting opportunity with an International Engineering Company for a Piping Material & Valve Engineer who will be responsible for the overall coordination and execution of engineering and design activities for large projects.Job Description: Performing piping material engineering activities & calculations including Pipe Material specifications. Preparation of Pipe wall thickness calculations. Branch reinforcement calculations. Preparation of technical specifications, inspection & test requirements for the procurement of piping bulk items and piping specialty items like strainers, steam traps, flame arrestors, Hose & Hose coupling etc. Preparation of material requisitions and purchase requisitions. Preparation of valves and specialty items datasheets. Technical bid evaluation of vendor's offer and preparation of technical queries. Optimization of material, the substitution of extra material, and controlling of piping material for smooth and efficient project execution. Vendors print review and resolving vendor queries in the minimum possible time. Co-ordination with various departments (engineering, procurement, supply chain, material control, and quality) to ensure timely resolution and escalation of issues through proper channels. Expediting of vendor package (if required by the project). Follow-up the vendor activities to ensure deliveries on time and with expected quality. Continuous improvement of execution and work processes and interfaces. Improvement of interfaces to other disciplines. Development of document templates and Engineering Guidelines. Support the Head of Department / Technical Lead Engineer on manhour and cost estimations for projects. Contribute to Business Development and R&D projects. Ensuring that working procedures and engineering execution standards are respected and enforced. Suggest cost savings to the Head of Department / Technical Lead Engineer. Promote a culture of trust, flexibility, collaboration, and creativityRequired educational background / skills and knowledge: Degree in Mechanical / Materials Engineering. Industry knowledge with 5+ years of experience. Well-structured engineering/ science related mindset and thinking. Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English. Highly developed communications and interpersonal skills. Strategic mindset and thinking. Highly open minded, experienced in working in international teams. High self-motivation, team spirit and assertiveness.
