Piping and Plumbing Engineer

Pickering Associates has an opening for a Piping and Plumbing Engineer. This individual will assume the role of 
Engineer in our Piping and Plumbing department and will join a team of other professionals servicing a diverse 
base of clients throughout WV, OH and beyond.. This is a full-time position located at our Parkersburg, WV 
campus.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
• Assist and design Piping/Plumbing projects, of all sizes; from planning and organizing to reviews and 
final packages.
• Interact proficiently with clients, vendors and contractors.
• Create and develop relationships with existing and new clients.
• Collaborate well with all other disciplines.
• Stay on the forefront of technological advances in your area of expertise.
• Make detailed plans to accomplish goals.
• Stay within the established scope, schedule and budget on all projects.
• Review and recommend contracts and/or projects.
• Develop cost estimates.
• Draft proposals and reports for clients.
• Check technical accuracy of work.
• Stay within allotted design budget and project guidelines set by owner, client and or project manager.
• Use time management techniques to ensure assignment completion for multiple projects in various 
phases of project life cycle.
• Other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications:
• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Proficiency using AutoCAD, Plant 3D and MS Office products
• Knowledge of ASME B31.3 (preferred)
• Ability to manage time and multi-task simultaneously
• Strong communication skills
