Piping Stress Engineer

Responsibilities:Under supervision of the Senior Piping Stress Engineer perform piping stress analyses for piping systems using both Caesar II and manual methods where appropriateSuggest piping modifications, select proper standard pipe supports to control piping stress, thermal growth, equipment nozzle loads and loads on restraintsDesign special and engineered pipe supports as applicableReview, check, and comment on the content of internal and external documentsCoordinate piping stress design with all involved disciplines and issue stress comments as requiredCompile reports, issue Data Sheets and perform technical bid evaluationsProvide technical support to the project group including procurement, sub contactors, fabrication, and construction activitiesDevelop and review project deliverablesRequirements:Degree in Engineering or technical school graduate with a minimum of 3+ years of piping stress engineering experienceSufficient knowledge of ASME B31.3, B31J and CSA Z662 Codes, applicable API codes for equipment nozzle loadingProficiency with Caesar II, Navisworks, Bluebeam and Microsoft Office applications, experience with Nozzle ProPreference will be given to those candidates who have prior oil and gas, EPC or EPCM experienceRegistration with APEGA as an EIT or Professional Engineer is an assetWhat's in it for you:Full time permanent roleIndustry class competitive compensation and vacation planMedical and dental planHealth/Wellness spending accountRRSP matching programAnnual Professional Development budgetStaff events and teambuildingMon-Thurs in office, Friday WFH
