Line & Light Base Maintenance Planner opportunity working for an Maintenance, Repair, Overhaul facility based in Birmingham.



Are you a detail-oriented and highly organized professional with experience in the aerospace sector? We are seeking a Line & Light Base Maintenance Planner to join our dynamic Operations Team, delivering aircraft and engine-related services to our growing customer base.



In this role, you will be responsible for the timely and accurate processing of customer work packages, ensuring they are ready for use in the maintenance environment. You will play a key role in managing and coordinating maintenance tasks while ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.



Key Responsibilities:

Process customer-supplied work package paperwork accurately and in a timely manner for maintenance use.

Import work packages into the company's computer system and ensure all relevant documentation (maintenance data, proformas, drawings) is attached.

Identify key milestones through PART-145 Production Planning, including parts and tooling/resource requirements for planned maintenance.

Coordinate with resource teams to ensure adequate manpower levels are in place to meet workload demands.

Manage third-party requirements, including NDT, aircraft reweighs, and exterior cleaning.

Ensure that scheduling of tasks takes Human Factors into consideration.

Identify safety-critical tasks, including CDCCL, independent inspections, and EWIS.

Review and audit completed paperwork to ensure 100% accuracy and completeness.

Support Line/Base Check Managers during maintenance inputs and attend daily meetings.

Arrange and chair Pre-Input meetings for Light Base Maintenance.

Scan and return completed work packages to the customer within agreed SLA guidelines.



Required Skills & Abilities:

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.

Proficiency in reporting tools such as Excel and Word.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.



Qualifications & Experience:

Minimum of 3 years of experience in the aerospace sector.

Previous experience in a PART-145 and PART-M Planning environment is .

Thorough understanding of regulatory requirements related to aircraft maintenance.
