Mesa is seeking an ABET degreed Electrical Engineer with keen interest in developing expertise in the areas of Transmission Planning and Power Substation based Engineering Studies activities. The selected individual will be heavily engaged in engineering design in our nation’s fastest developing power substation arena. This opportunity is ideal for the entry-level, or junior-level, engineer seeking an environment which will provide technical growth, daily collaboration with subject matter expertise, and sophisticated methods utilized in engineering design. Exposure to a wide range of P&C design experience will be available in this role and include all aspects of substation design with voltages ranging from Distribution level up to and including 765kV. Responsibilities

• Development of Substation related Studies and Calculations designs.
• Utilization of modeling software to develop equipment safety and personnel safety-based substation designs.
• Collaborate with Standards Innovation and Design Teams in relation to Facility Ratings parameters
• Gain expertise and assist others in the field of Power Delivery Substation.
• Mentor junior engineers and designers.

Required Qualifications

• Ability and interest in utilization of Engineering based software in relation to Power Substation planning and design.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (ABET Accredited)
• Proficiency in verbal and written communication
• Customer Support acumen
• Entry-Level to Three (3) years of applicable experience

Qualifications

• Passed FE (EIT) Examination
• Keen interest in learning and using the latest software tools, methods, and technologies to develop Power Substation design
